Kingston Anti Cuts is a campaigning organisation that aims to unite workers in the public, private and voluntary sectors with service users and all those affected by the cuts.
We believe that the government’s austerity programme is dismantling the welfare state and public services.
We pledge to resist all cuts including welfare, benefit and pension cuts, as well as job losses, service closures or reductions and privatisations of essential services.
We want to see more not fewer jobs for all, especially the young, created through public investment in areas such as a National Climate Service.
We pledge to support all local, national and international protests and industrial action to oppose every form of austerity measure.
The campaign is non-party political. It is open to individuals or representatives of trades unions, community or residents groups.
We wish to encourage the widest possible participation but members of racist and far-right groups, such as the BNP and the EDL, are not welcome!
We hold regular meetings open to anyone who lives, works or uses services in the Kingston area and wants to be active in the campaign.
